Wildlife Affected by the Fires in the Amazon
During August and September, more than 2 million hectares of jungle have been destroyed by fires in the Bolivian Amazon. Thousands of animals have been injured and have lost their homes. Their survival is at risk, but there is hope. At the heart of Chiquitania in Aguas Calientes, a group of volunteers, biologists and veterinarians have opened a rescue center for fire victims, healing different animals and giving them the opportunity to live and be reintroduced into their natural habitat. It is here where the possibility of a future that includes the Amazon wildlife lies. But they need our help. In order to meet the needs of dozens of animals that arrive at the center daily, a regular supply of medicine and food is vital, as well as the infrastructure and equipment necessary to provide specialized care and treatment. We ask for support from all animal lovers to help us make the rescue center a fully equipped and permanent place of aid to all animals that need it. With your help, we can achieve this.
