Wildfire in Otis, OR Destroys Ross Family Home.

The year 2020 has brought a lot of curve balls. On September 7th, 2020 the Echo Mountain fire in Otis, Oregon added a new challenge to our parent’s life. Our parents (Ron and Sharon Ross) were woke up by an unknown man to alert them that they needed to evacuate their home. They retreated with a few bags, gizmo the cat, and their vehicle. Unfortunately their other pets were lost in the fire.

They do have insurance, however we are learning with the type of home they had there will be very little replacement funds. They are currently displaced so they are staying with family. Being on a tight senior budget it is overwhelming to think what recovery will look like. They are humble and would not ask for anything. They are grateful they have the clothing on their backs and are alive.
We (the children) Tammie Foster, Teresa Falconer, Jackie Telschow, and Troy Falconer appreciate any help during this difficult time. Often people ask what they can do or what they need to be replaced. It is hard to say socks, underwear, a jacket, or a shoulder to cry on. It is overwhelming to think what you need when you have nothing left. Often people will not speak up. We decided to create this GoFundMe as a step to help them with basic needs and begin to rebuild their home.
