Help us take Leonidas home

Hi,

 

We all worked with Leo and want to help his brothers raise funds to transport his body to their home country, Guatemala.

 

On April 26, 2022. Leo and his brother Wilder were riding their bikes on the way to work and got in a hit-and-run accident. Wilder watched his brother die in front of him.

We were all fortunate to have the opportunity to work and get to know him. Leo was a hard worker and always had a great attitude no matter how hard the situation was; one of the best people we've ever met. We will all miss him so much and words can't describe how sad we are. Kindly consider donating to help support the family during this difficult time. *update: Thank you everyone for your generous donations and for helping us reach our goal so quickly. All exceeding donations will be given to Wilder and his family to help cover any expenses related to this tragic accident. 

A few points of clarification:

•At this time, the donation money will be deposited in to JNF Pastry Inc bank account and then be directed to Leo's family. I've been in contact with both his brothers, Alfredo and Wilder, to check what will be the best option for them.
•Leo worked at our bakery for about 4 years so we decided to create this gofundme page in order to help Leo's family pay for all costs related to his loss, including:

1. Transport the body to his home country, Guatemala. (DONE with the help of the Consulado General de Guatemala en Los Angeles)
2. Help the family with any immediate costs associated with Leo's funeral/memorial services. (in progress)
