Wild Souls Ranch Indoor Arena

Wild Souls Ranch is Humboldt County's 501(c)3 Nonprofit Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Center for Children. "A place where bonds are made, foundations are built, and spirits are healed."
We specialize in working with foster and adopted youth who have experienced trauma such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, drug exposure, and neglect.
Wild Souls Ranch recently accepted a long term lease agreement with the wonderful property owner, Marion Brown, on our very own 15 acre ranch in Fortuna, CA! This was truly a dream come true for the Wild Souls community.
Our program, since opening in 2014, has been ran out of a public boarding facility in Loleta, CA. It has been difficult for the organization to grow and serve more youth in our community without our own location. While we have been growing steadily, It has also been challenging to provide the much needed privacy for the youth we serve so that they feel safe to open up during their healing process.
Marion Brown is graciously funding the costs of new fencing for the property, along with a complete barn renovation to meet some of our program needs, including a round pen, a septic system and bathroom, all before our move in date of January 2018.
So the next step is for us to build an indoor arena and this is where we need your help!
First, an indoor arena would shelter us from the extremely wet winters we experience in Humboldt County, and offer that privacy and safety our kids need.
But also with this indoor arena, our possibilities are so much bigger! We would like to open new programs within the organization such as a veterans equine therapy program, a riding and horsemanship program accessible to all children of Humboldt County, parenting classes, community wellness classes, summer camps, as well as hosting horse clinics for all the horse lovers of Humboldt County to enjoy.
Wild Souls Ranch is needing help from our community and we need it fast. As 2017 comes to a close and we approach our move in date in January, please consider making a donation. Every little bit helps!
