Wild Hearts Rescue Fencing and Corals

Wild Hearts Rescue Ranch began its story long before 2013, when it opened, in the heart of its creator as a need for healing. It since has grown into a legacy of healing and justice, going from a 2 acre property in Marana Arizona to a 15 acre property in Hereford Arizona. From the founder's heart, it also grew into a family of four, all on their own missions of healing and service. Over 500 Equines have been healed, set free from suffering, represented against an apathetic justice system and their abusers, and aided in obtaining conviction against those who committed the most heinous crimes. We have gone from a financially unsustainable model to a much broader opportunity with lower cost via careful decision making and reckless luck. While the monthly bills grow ever more sustainable, we NEED to clear land and build pasture. It's an absolute must. A tractor has to come manage brush and a drainage area or two, and we have to build over 5000 ft of triple rail wood fencing, with no climb wire for small stock areas, with only volunteer help. Of our 15 acres, we have functional use of about 5.6 acres due to brush. This is virgin Sky Islands grassland. Not only will we have graze to rotate horses on, reducing our feed costs and booting their overall movement, freedom and health, but we will be able to use the land for community and educational purposes as well as more freely assist horses in need. Just the freedom to run is reason enough to build this for these horses, especially our permanent residents. Anticipating the excitement of finally seeing them run and play on open land as a herd is enough to make one's heart race! There are 24, with recent adoptions, in our care now. 14 of those are permanent residents due to age, temperament, disability, etc. They, and every horse in rehabilitation anywhere, deserve the best. Our funding and land clearing needs exceed 25,000 when finally completed. This fencing has been chosen for safety, flexibility, cheap cost of spot repair and replacement, and visibility. It's also within our main buildy-fixy gal's preferred mediums and talents. We are breaking it down into pieces, and hoping to achieve each goal, step by step. $8000 will be used in the following ways to achieve part of that goal. 


$2000 for the best tractor guy in the county. Marty is the man. He's cleared for the county, private land owners and our amazing hay fella. Recommended by the best, for the best, at a careful calculated price. This will clear half of the land we need brush removed from, leaving a safety/visual barrier on our road sides and some nice trees. 


$5000 for wood, concrete, screws, a water cube to mix concrete at fence lines, auger for billions of post holes and sealer for the wood to begin replacing our corral area with a safer, larger system not made of panels and start fencing as much as we can of the cleared land after that. We may be able to complete the cleared land's fence systems with this money depending on finding a better bulk price for treated lumber and locating a good used auger. We may also pay someone to come tractor auger fence post holes if that is found to be a better option.
