Wild fire destroys Parque Provencial San Cayetano

As many of you know, I spent a wonderful year in Argentina "chasing monkeys" and helping conduct an amazing conservation project for the Black and Gold Howler monkey (Alouatta Caraya). Recently, there has been a forest fire that has left the park devastated and 42 of the 76 acres burned. Many of the animals I studied have perished and I am beyond heartbroken. This field station (Estación Biológica Corrientes) is crucial for the conservation of so many different native species to North East Argentina, and they have so many programs to help encourage young scientists. 
So, this year for my birthday, I encourage all of you to consider donating to this fund. I would love to give back to the people who have given me so much.
