This book aims to establish an accurate and enduring historical record of WikiLeaks, which has long been the subject of deliberate smears and lies. You can read the currently published chapters of this book free online here .
This book aims to document WikiLeaks' many fine achievements, the impact they have had on our world, and how the world has reacted to them. It will examines the major controversies and exposes the relentless lies, smears and disinformation campaigns.
This book will be designed primarily for an online audience, with links verifying the facts provided. The goal is to provide a free online version for anyone to read. Ideally there will also be a variety of formats to download and a printed version for sale.
As online sites replace printed sources of truth, our true histories have become ever more susceptible to malicious revisionism. Old URLs no longer work, ideologically motivated editors monitor Wikipedia pages, and even Internet search results have been politicized. We need to ensure the truth remains available to everyone for generations to come.
The author Gary Lord is a long-time WikiLeaks supporter who has been on Twitter as @Jaraparilla since 2009. The funds raised here will be used to cover his family's living expenses while writing the book, and to help publish with maximum impact. Any post-publication profits will be shared with WikiLeaks.
