Widowers Expenses

This is my mom and dad, George and Lois Ramirez on their 53rd wedding anniversary in May of this year. Just one short month later my mother lost her battle with endometrial cancer after a ten month fight, she would have been 73 years on July 4th. My father, George, was her tireless caregiver during the months of her treatments. Through chemotherapy and radiation, my father cleaned, cooked, washed clothes, made meals, and drove out to buy mom anything that she might want to eat, anything to make her feel better. My father is 79 years old, he's always worked hard to provide for his family, working two and three jobs at times to feed and clothe his family of 5. When I was 4 and my older sister Lisa was 6 dad received his American Citizenship at a ceremony in Cleveland Ohio, you won't find a more proud American then him.
Since my mother's passing dad has had to face several challenges both emotionally and financially while he waits for the government to release my mother's retirement benefits, he's on a very fixed budget. In addition the the high monthly cost of his diabetes medication, his lawnmower had broken down leaving him unable to mow his lawn, and he just learned that he will need to replace his heating/air conditioning unit. My sisters and I really wish that we had the funds to pay for the unit, but we don't. Can you help? If each of our friends donated just $20 we could meet our goal of raising $3,500 before cold weather starts creeping back into North Eastern Ohio.
