Widowed Mother Writes to Save Home

I am leaving my original story below, but the priorities and the reason for this account have shifted. They have gone from hoping to raise enough money to publish my next book to simply being able to pay my bills and keep a roof over our heads. As a retired police officer it is very difficult for me to ask for help. Please understand that. That is why it has been active as long as it has with so little activity. In a few short weeks in 2012, I had to file for disability, close my business and my husband passed away. Since then I have been able to keep my head above water while raising my son and fighting to receive disability benefits. I was finally and officially declared disabled in December 2015 to my relief. That relief was short lived. After dragging out additional hearings for back pay, which I was ultimately denied, I thought things would finally be processed in the fall of 2017. That did not happen. Due to a paperwork error, that no one seems to be able to fix I still have no benefits. To help deal with the health issues I decided to write a book and then series. I completed the five book series in under eleven months. With that, I am also hoping that it will allow me to keep my bills paid if they are published. I was able to publish the first book, but now I find myself asking for help to publish, 51:  The Storm, the second book in my series.  The funds that are raised will pay for the publication and any amount which exceeds the goal will be put toward publishing the other books in the series. I completed the five Book series in under eleven months  Book two needs to be submitted around June of 2018 to ensure it will be out in October 2018. If the goal is reached soon, that means the book will be published sooner. Many authors have another source of income besides their books. I am not that fortunate. Due to injuries and health issues, I do not have that as an option. With every book that I succeed in publishing, there is a better chance of me providing for my son. Any amount given and every share that happens is appreciated more than you can ever know. I want all of you to know what will be published. This is a brief description of, 51: The Storm. 51: The Storm Sheriff Lindsay Gold finds out how bad the situation from the base may be. She also has new employees and a major storm to make things even more difficult. Thankfully Agent Wren Gold may have an ally that might be able to help them both.
