Wicklow 200 for Aoife's Clown Doctors

Donation protected
On June 9th,  I am cycling the Wicklow 200 (http://www.wicklow200.ie/)   in aid of Aoife's Clown Doctors.

Aoife Hendrick sadly passed away back in August 2012, having just turned 5. She had only been diagnosed 4 months earlier with leukemia.

In 2014, as part of Aoife's legacy, Aoife's parents Áine and Adrian, set up Aoife's Clown Doctors Ireland - they are professional entertainers who go into the wards of Crumlin and Temple St hospitals in Dublin to bring some fun and smiles to the children and families there. They are working to expand the service to other hospitals in Ireland and were awarded charity status earlier this year.

Each clown-round costs €200. The funds donated here will help to continue to provide Clown Doctors for the children and families in these wards. As Áine&Adrian say 'We know from our own experience of the fun Aoife had with the clowns, how humour can lift the day and bring a smile to even the most sick of children.'

This year, we as a family have had first hand experience of the Clown Doctors in Temple St and they certainly make a difference to the hospital visit for all children.  ( Our youngest Siun in the photo, spent a few days in Temple St earlier in the year).

I've never cycled 200 km in one day and I certainly have never spent 10-11 hours on a saddle in the Wicklow mountains but I think it's time(pain :-( ) well spent for this amazing charity.

I would be extremely grateful if you could make a donation.

Cheers
