Why Not Care PR Parade Float

Since the devastation of both Hurricane Irma & Maria WhyNotCare has stepped up its grassroots efforts in assisting with recovery efforts on the island of Puerto Rico and in New York City. WhyNotCare has partnered with many organizations to host fundraisers, all donations have gone to the recovery relief in Puerto Rico and assisting with Evacuees in New York City. Currently, we Co-Chair the Manhattan Puerto Rico Long Term Recovery Coalition. A Coalition that has over 15 member organizations assisting in the relief efforts for Puerto Rico.

WhyNotCare has partnered with NYDIS (New York Disaster Interfaith Services) in reaching out to over the thousand families who have migrated to New York City. NYDIS is currently the lead agency in providing services to families displaced by both Hurricane Irma and Maria.

In partnership with The Manhattan Puerto Rico Long Term Recovery Coalition, WhyNotCare has applied for a float in the 2018 Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday, June 10. Our float is dedicated to the resiliency, courage and strength of our Evacuees. We stand united with the Puerto Rican families that we support and Care about their recovery….
