United Nations Youth Assembly

Hello, we are the Ancaster Ambassadors and we have been selected to attend the United Nations Youth Assembly in February of 2018! The assembly is here to gain perspective from youth all around the world on global issues and ways of solving them. " With a global population of over 1.8 billion people, youth are the world’s greatest untapped resource, possessing the talents and ambition to overcome society’s biggest challenges. In order to achieve the 2030 Agenda, it is imperative to engage youth as beneficiaries, stakeholders, and leaders in the global movement for inclusive and sustainable development. The 2018 Winter Youth Assembly at the United Nations is a platform to elevate the voices of young people in international dialogues, empower youth to advocate for future generations, and mobilize youth as agents of impactful change" (United Nations). The youth assembly is held all the way in New York City for a series of 5 days. We will require funds for living expenses, food, and transportation (flights). There are going to be 12 students attending and we have a rough estimate of $10,000 which we find necessary to cover all of our expenses! We are a group composed of independent, intelligent, thoughtful leaders who are constantly looking for new ways to change the world! So please donate however much you can!
