This morning my cat Harry was hit by a car. Somehow, and luckily, he wasn't killed but the impact has caused his right eye to come out the socket, as well as multiple jaw fractures. Whoever hit him either didn't realise or left him there alone, severely injured.
We found him at 6am, after he miraculously found his way home. Harry needed urgent attention so we took him to an emergency 24-hour vet who are monitoring and giving him pain medication. At the moment he has just been admitted and is on medication awaiting a CT scan tomorrow to find out if his jaw is fixable. If his jaw can be fixed he will be taken straight into surgery and have his right eye removed and plates/ wires inserted in his jaws. Until we know the extent of the fracture in his jaw, we do not know what the future holds for him.
I am asking you to please help me raise money for my lovely boy. They have estimated the cost of his treatment to be around £5000 so I am asking to raise around £6000 to help cover their fees, and also any medication and further treatment he may need. ANY MONEY that is left will go towards a thank you present to the animal hospital he is currently under care at, as well as an animal charity or shelters(in manchester that we can get food and toys too.)
Should the worst were to happen, as before, ALL remaining money will be donated, though we pray this will not be the option.
Full disclosure-
My dad has paid a deposit upfront and will pay on discharge for the rest of the bill. They needed a deposit immediately and payment on discharge, purely due to the size of the bill- understandably so. The money from this fundraising will be paying this money back as this is from savings as well as any potential take home medication/ check up's that he may need. We are hoping he will be discharged in around 5 days.
Anyone who knows me knows that Harry means the world to me. I've had him for over 5 years now and he is my little bestie. This year has been extremely hard for me following a car accident and he has been my little rock throughout it all, demanding cuddles and being my little spoon. I can't imagine life without him, so any help, no matter how big or small, would be appreciated. </3
All updates from the vet will be shared so that you can keep updated on Harry's journey back to health.
