Jackson Action Coalition

                             Who is JAC?

Jackson Action Coalition (JAC) is a community organization providing services for the community, at-risk youth, and seniors in the Chicago area. JAC's goal is to foster a commitment to youth and seniors that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future. JAC's mission is to "bridge the gap and bring generations together by empowering our community, youth, and seniors through community outreach, services, and events."

JAC has many goals but our ultimate goal is to be an example of the philosophy change. In order for JAC to keep the programs that we have going we need support from people like YOU!

The JAC Board of Directors consist of Business Professional and Community leaders from all walks of life.

The JAC Youth Board of Directors consist of youth between the ages of 16-24 that are passionate about making a change in the community.

JAC Members consist of people  between the ages of 12 and up with the same passion of making a change in the community.

JAC programs that we have available are:

Takeshia Jackson Youth
Entrepreneurship Program
This program is geared toward youth between the ages of 16-21 who have entrepreneurial aspirations. Youth are trained to become Entrepreneurs and we help the youth start their businesses. This is a 5-Week program that will also pay participants an hourly rate while in program. While youth are in the program they will manage and operate a Social Enterprise Business to gain hands on skills and knowledge.

The JAC Show:
The JAC Show is a weekly show airing on CAN TV where JAC is able to showcase all of JAC's accomplishments and programs that we have available. We also will showcase upcoming events for other organizations like ours. The JAC show is hosted by Marseil Jackson and Co-hosted by a JAC Youth representative.

Helping People Campaign:
JAC's campaign of several events to help the members of the organization and the members of the community by providing events i.e.; feeding the Homeless, Breakfast with Santa toy giveaway, Coat Drives, School Supply Giveaways, Financial Assistance, and many more events.

Senior Programming: JAC host a Monthly  "Bridging the Gap" Senior Empowerment Luncheon at nearby Senior Retirement homes.  We have local vendors come in to give out valuable information to Seniors in the Community and Seniors are able to Eat for Free. JAC also holds a Quarterly "Bringing Generations Together" Senior and Youth Bowling Outing. Those are just a couple of Senior Events/Activities but those are just the beginning.

Kickback with JAC:
Kickback with JAC is a series of events tailored for at-risk youth in the program and the community to keep the youth engaged, busy and off the streets while having a good time.

JAC has done a host of other things from clothes giveaways, financial literacy workshops, business development workshops, shared employment opportunities and more.

In order for JAC to keep the programs that we have going and develop new programs we need support from people like YOU!
