"Who Keeps Us Safe?" Community Forum Fundraiser

Donation protected
To mark this as the 5th anniversary of social justice action in South Brooklyn on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, this year Bay Ridge for Social Justice, Take On Hate, South Brooklyn Progressive Resistance, the Arab American Association of New York and Fight Back Bay Ridge are collectively organizing a day-long community education forum entitled “Who Keeps Us Safe?”

This forum will consist of morning trainings, afternoon break-out sessions and a midday meal with neighbors to build bridges and strengthen bonds in our community...and we are relying on the support of our community and allies to help cover the cost of putting on this timely and critical event!

Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated.  Collected funds will allow us to offer stipends to community organizers who will lead trainings and breakout sessions, a donation to the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church (our host for the event) and child care.  Any amount collected over our target goal will be carried over to BRFSJ’s March for Visibility in the spring.

For more information about the forum, please visit the Facebook event page here. Questions? Please contact [email redacted].
