Whitney Westbrook - Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Whitney Westbrook is a 2nd grade teacher at Donaldson Way Elementary School in American Canyon, California.  On August 18, the Vacaville wildfires engulfed her family home and ranch. Whitney was able to escape with her mother, father, sister and family dogs. Whitney was only able to save a few of her goats and a lamb. The herd of sheep and goats perished in the fire.  Whitney’s mother suffered second degree burns to her arm, but is receiving good treatment from their family doctor.  All of their clothing and family possessions are lost.  Whitney and her family are now staying in an evacuation center in Sacramento.

Whitney is a wonderful and dedicated teacher.  Timing of this tragedy could not have been worse with school commencing on August 20th.  The “Friends of Whitney Westbrook” is raising funds on behalf of Whitney and her family to fund the purchase of food and clothing for the entire family.

Victims of fires face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs.  We hope this fund will help to alleviate some of the challenges that Whitney  and her family will face in the upcoming weeks as they do their best to rebuild and reestablish their lives.

During these uncertain times, we know many are facing their own personal hardships and we are extremely grateful for any donation. Thank you for helping our friend and teacher Whitney Westbrook.
