White Water Rescue Raft and Gear

Donation protected
Hello
Hi my name is Mike Zavadlov and I’m a Fishing Guide,  Clallam County Volunteer Firefighter and Swift Water Rescuer.  I’ve been a Fishing Guide here on the Olympic Peninsula for over 20 years now and have floated almost every stretch of these rivers. They are very dangerous, especially to inexperienced boaters.
Driftboats and Rafts go down every year and sometimes people do die. That is why, in June of this year, Bill Meyer and myself along with the Clallam County Volunteer Fire Department District #1 took a three-day White Water Rescue class from Wet Planet Whitewater Center out of White Salmon, WA

We trained here on the Olympic Peninsula in the Hoh and Calawah rivers.
After completing our three-day whitewater class in June, we have been training once a week since. The more we trained the more we realize we need a Raft!!!!

This Raft will make our response time so much faster on those remote section of river. As everyone knows, time is our limiting factor and that’s why this Raft is so important to our Volunteer Whitewater Rescue Team. Because this is a Volunteer team, money is very limited through our Clallam County Volunteer Fire Department District #1.

Rafts are expensive and this is why we need your help making our team the best it can be.
We are looking to Purchase a raft called an Aire Super Duper Puma!! It’s 14 feet long and perfect for these Olympic Peninsula rivers to hall 4 Rescuers down the River. Faster is always better in a Rescue so we also need to purchase a Raft Trailer.
