Whende Keatts, a truly wonderful and unique person who was loved by everyone who knew her, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from cancer on March 20, 2020 at the age of 50.
After the shock of learning of her passing, the next question on everyone's minds is, "How's Drew?" Andrew, her only child, is 17 years old (and 6 feet tall now!) and has Phelan-McDermid syndrome, rendering him totally unable to talk or support himself in any way. As you might suspect, Andrew hasn't really grasped the situation.
We've been getting constant requests to honor Whende's memory by supporting her son. By request, which we're quite humbled by, we've set up this GoFundMe page. Donations, which are not tax deductible, will go directly into a special needs trust set up on Drew's behalf that legally can be used only for his benefit during his lifetime.
