Russian River Floods Animal Sanctuary

Marybeth and Glenn Hall have built and maintain an amazing Animal Rescue Sanctuary called When Pigs Fly Ranch, which is located along the Russian River in Sonoma County, CA. It is home to 20 rescued animals - 5 pigs (Piggy, Wesley, Pierre, Fresno and Hamilton) as well as 14 chickens and 1 cat.

On February 27, 2019 the Russian River had the worst flooding seen in 26 years, which wiped out our sanctuary.

All of our animals are safe and have now been moved to temporary homes.

We had about 5' of water flow through the sanctuary, so we're now assessing the damage, and are hopeful that we'll be able to recover and salvage at least some of the equipment and shelters that were under water.

It will take months to get the sanctuary back to being safe and secure so the animals are able to return to their home. Now is when the real work begins.  Check the website for updates -

Thank you all for the outpouring of love and support you have sent to us. We are eternally grateful.

But we still need your help.
