Wheels for Taylor Jones

Donation protected
Sunday night Taylor was on his Moped on the way home from a family dinner. As he was crossing an intersection at a green light, a car ran his red light and hit Taylor. The guy drove away. Taylor was unfortunately not wearing a helmet.

Taylor was knocked unconscious, his cheek bones, jaw, and other bones in his face were broken as well as a concussion in his brain. The pallet in his mouth broke which caused a lot of bleeding in his throat and lungs, which caused him to be unable to breathe.

They were able to get him to the ICU where they performed a tracheotomy to help drain the blood from his throat, chest, and lungs. They had him on a ventilator to breath for him, as he was unable to breath on his own.

He was taken off the ventilator as he began to gain consciousness and awareness as well as breathing on his own. As of now, he is able to breath on his own, maintain consciousness, and cover the hole in his throat to speak.

Today they did surgery on his face to repair the broken bones. He is going to be ok which is good! He is 100% going to live and be fine, but he has quite a recovery ahead of him.

We are hoping to raise enough to help Taylor with the expense of getting a scooter or car. He is already so concerned about his first day of school and getting back to work. I know this will really help.

Thank you to everyone that told Taylor you were praying for him or sent him encouragement. He has been truly moved and has recovered at a rate that was not expected by his doctors.
