A wheelchair van for captain Jack

Jackson certainly has had an eventful and nerve wracking start to life. Jack was born 15 weeks early and had a lengthy stay on NICU (132 days) He is the absolute light of our life. Such a cheeky characte! 

 Because of his prematurity, Jackson now lives with Quadraplegic Dystonic Cerebral Palsy.  

We spent the year after his diagnosis attending multiple early intervention therapies and saw the determination of our boy amaze us and all of his therapists along the way.

Thanks to an overwhelming amount of support last year we managed to provide Jack with all the equipment and therapy he needed through the year.  We are so grateful to have been able to give him the best chance.

Jack doesn’t let CP  hold him back from enjoying a full and happy life though. Jack’s favourite thing to do is to get out and about and explore new places (the aquarium is the latest favourite) go for walk and people watch!
He’s now grown into such a big boy I am having a hard time getting him in and out of the car seat now  and I have also been lifting his 39kg chair in and out of the car so  it’s  definately time to start modifying our car and house situation to accomodate a wheelchair.

We have a wheelchair van in mind and have fallen  short from the price after joining all funds we  have  available.

This car will allow Jack to travel up the front rather than in the boot area. We also have to add wheelchair modifications around the house such as ramps. We really appreciate every bit of support we have received so far and may be lucky enough to receive now. Every bit makes a difference. Thank you for taking the time to read our story x
