Wheels for Rebecca

Donation protected
Rebecca is my 17 year old niece, and I would like to tell you a little bit about her story.  She lives in Kentucky, and is about to enter her senior year in high school.  She gets A's and B's, is on the archery team, works part-time at Dairy Queen, and likes to draw and paint.  Her entire world was turned upside down this summer when her mother (my sister) abandoned her, gave up her rights, and chose drugs instead of her 3 children.  This came out of no where - my sister had been an amazing mother all her life.

To make matters even more complicated, their step-dad, who they were living with since they were little, kicked them out of his house when their mom left.  Her brother Donovan, who is 19, is going to college full time and has a full time job.  He recently was forced to get a place of his own, and my parents reached out to our family and friends for donations for everything... bedding, dishes, furniture, etc. We were so blessed with all the donations!  My parents packed up a giant trailor, drove to Kentucky, and helped their grandson move into his own place, and filled his house with food.  Fortunately, Rebecca's birth father is going to allow her to remain in Kentucky to finish her senior year - she turns 18 in December.  Upon finishing school, she is planning to go into nursing.

The funds raised will be used to buy Rebecca a used car. The car will be used to get her to and from school, as well as to and from work.  She needs to keep her job at Dairy Queen, because what was once money used recreationally, will now be used for gas, food, and other basic needs that arise.

She starts school in 3 weeks, and I would be so thankful if enough funds were raised to get her a car before she starts school.  It's always hard asking for help, especially financial help, but I truly believe this will change my niece's life, and help her continue on the path of a nursing career, where she wants to give back to the world.

The support would mean so much to Rebecca and to our entire family.  No donation is too small.  We appreciate all of your prayers and support - our family has been torn apart - we have cried and we have mourned.  This will help Rebecca tremendously, and make life just a little bit easier considering what she is going through. Thanks friends and family.  Love you all.
