Wheels For Wellington!

Our Friend, Lington (Wellington)  Pinder;  a wonderful family man and crucial team member of North Abaco Potcake Rescue, was just recently dealt a very cruel blow at the hands of a car import company here in the Bahamas. Their apparent unscrupulous dealings has cost this good man ALL his hard earned savings! Lington, who lives a humble but happy life, saved and saved to buy himself a little car from SBT, a Japanese Car Importer that does business (!!) in the Bahamas.  For months he has been hitch hiking 40miles a day to get to work.. Finally he was able to save up enough money to buy a car for him, his wife and his young grand daughter. He was so excited waiting for his wheels, like a kid for Christmas.. when it finally arrived, he noticed something was very wrong.. the car was barely fit to drive! The transmission was completely faulty!! It had JUST arrived and could not even get him home!!  This company had sold him a LEMON!!  When he told us about this, you could see the despair in his eyes.. all his savings were gone and he was still without wheels for him and his family..  Lington has saved countless Potcake lives and has brought happiness to the hearts of so many families in North Abaco. He has worked tirelessly to dedicate himself to rescuing furbabies, to help with spay clinics, to bring supplies to poor families all throughout North Abaco! He is the sole supporter of his family, and has worked hard every day, for most of his adult life. Without him, so many community programs such as the the North Shore Christmas Caravan, North Abaco Feed, Chloe's Havens and the It's A Potcake Life School Tour would NEVER have come to fruition! This is so unfair that they did this to him and we ask the Potcake Family to help get his transmission fixed. The car company will not respond, despite many attempts to reach out to them. We are heartbroken for him and ask that we please team together to get Wellington the Wheels he Needs to continue doing wonderful things for Potcakes and the People of North Abaco!!! Please, if you have a Potcake or Notcake Rescue from NAPR, Lington is one of the reasons we were able to save them!! Please help him as a thank you for all he has done!!
