Wheels for Brandyn

Donation protected

A great opportunity has presented itself for the Statesboro community to come
together to help out one of it’s own,
Brandyn Bradford. Some of you have
known him for a long time, and while I
know there would not be a bit of
hesitation in helping, we would like to
expand this project outside the
Statesboro area to anyone who feels led to help. So, for those that don’t know
Brandyn, here is a short bit about him,
and what we would like to accomplish.

Brandyn is 23 years old and has been in a wheelchair all his life.  He has had more
than 40 surgeries as a baby and young
man. He even jokingly says that he is in a medical book  somewhere because of certain
things doctors had never seen
before. Although miracles were apparent and abundant through the doctors
hands, certain trials remained as he grew up.  But, of all that Brandyn has gone
through, none of this defines him.

In spite of these trials, a few years ago,
he had the absolute, most important,
amazing, and spectacular thing happen
to him. His heart was changed from
stone to flesh. God opened his eyes to
faith and trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Most of you have seen the
growth in his walk with the Lord, and
most of you know...

                                     ...God defines Brandyn.

It only takes a few minutes of talking
with Brandyn to know where his heart
lies. His love for the Lord is unashamed,
his knowledge of the Word is beyond his years, and his humility is what leads to
this request. Brandyn asks for nothing
and gives everything. The most he ever
asks for, besides prayer, is a ride. He
relies on family and friends to go
anywhere.

Late last year, Brandyn finally decided
that he wanted to get his drivers license. For those that know him, YES, you heard that right! Brandyn’s going mobile. His
parents and friends are coming together to get doctors sing-offs, paperwork
completed, and next, going to Atlanta to take his test.  He has already obtained his permit as shown below.

With the blessing of his parents, we are
trying to raise funds to get Brandyn an
appropriately equipped vehicle.

The idea is to raise enough money to help Brandyn get the newest vehicle possible. We would like to minimize the worries of any maintenance and get the safest car
possible for the young lad.

Now here is the most important part of
this request...
We would like this to be a surprise for
Brandyn.

Some time after he acquires his DL, we
will surprise him by taking him to the car dealership in Savannah, that provides
modified vehicles to accommodate
wheelchairs, and get him fitted for a
vehicle. And yes, this will most definitely
be documented!

Brandyn has recently obtained his first
job in a doctors office answering
phone calls and setting up appointments. The doctors office is of the very same
family of the doctor that performed
many of the operations on Brandyn.
With him  now working and still planning
on
attending college next semester, a
vehicle would be most advantageous for his endeavors.

Like I said in the beginning, I know that
anyone who knows Brandyn is already
chomping at the bit to pitch in. There are two ways to help. One is obviously to
give what you feel led to give. The other
is to spread the word.  I don’t even know all the people who’s lives have been
affected by Brandyn. But I know they are plentiful.

Please, please, please, quietly and
secretly pass this along to EVERYONE.
How awesome it will be to see this
community come together to help out
one they love!

Thank you and God bless you.
