Wheelchair Van for Happy Hour Resort Owners

If you're visiting this page, it's likely because you know just how special of a place Happy Hour Resort on Burt Lake, MI, is. This beautiful gem has been run by Joy, Vicki, and Penny for decades, and they and their staff do an incredible job maintaining the resort while keeping prices very affordable. We'd be extremely hard-pressed to find accommodations like this for such low prices anywhere in northern Michigan.

At the same time, these wonderful women have experienced several falls and other medical issues over the past few years that require the use of wheelchairs or other mobility supports. The nearest central location for hospital and other medical care is Petoskey, which can be up to a 30 minute drive away.

They recently installed a wheelchair ramp that helps them climb into a truck when they need to go somewhere, but the process can be time-consuming and painful. They would benefit greatly from a wheelchair van that would enable Happy Hour's owners to transport themselves wherever they need to go in a safe and efficient way.

Please consider donating whatever you can to help make this possible. This fundraiser is hosted by Courtney Clark and Devin Banagis, whose families have been guests at Happy Hour Resort for decades. We promise full transparency throughout the entire fundraising process.
