Wheelchair Van for a Real Go-Getter

Let's Get Moving!! Lauren has always been in a hurry to get where she's going. So much so that she decided to arrive into this world 16 weeks before her due date -- weighing in at a mere 1 lb. 11 oz. Unfortunately, that lead to a major "speed bump" in her life -- cerebral palsy.
Lauren is now 23 and has been wheelchair-bound her entire life, with only limited use of her hands. But she's never let that slow her down. She has the most positive outlook on life, and it is her mission to help others whenever and however she can.
For example, she started "Inspiration Station" www.facebook.com/InspirationStation as a way to help others. She paints and writes poetry and stories, then uses those creative endeavors to make greeting cards and other products to sell. She donates all of her earnings to local organizations that help kids and young adults with disabilities, like Riley Hospital and Camp PossAbility. But now we need some help to keep her moving forward. Our family van is over 18 years old and has 190,000 miles on it. Its rusting, and the maintenance requirements and costs are becoming difficult to justify given its age and condition. Its days are numbered...
To keep Lauren on the go, helping her to stay active within her community and continuing her efforts to help others, we'd like to ask your support to purchase another wheelchair van.
We are looking to purchase a used van, but even those can run upwards of $30-$40K in good shape. We are asking for approximately half of the cost -- $20K -- and we will finance the remaining amount.
Our goal is to raise these funds by summer 2018, so Lauren can continue with the activities she enjoys, and travel with us to visit family around the country. Our old van just isn't trustworthy any longer.
