Wheelchair Elevation feature

My name is Donna Tallerico and I am 63 years old and am doing something that is very difficult for me. I am asking for financial help in acquiring a feature for my new wheelchair. I was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy in 1973 and started using a wheelchair in 1993. I had a fantastic career that I loved and worked until 2002. I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and worked with so many wonderful people and companies in the medical field. I also met and made amazing and long lasting friends. I started and owned a small business but unfortunately it failed after 3 years. I could go on and list things that I have done but that is not what this request is about.
I have gone through good and bad and survived just like all of you. I have the most amazing friends and family and I thank God everyday for life and all the people around me!
I have been approved for a new wheelchair which will be coming from Premier Medical , a great company that I have worked with since 2005. The brand name of the chair is Quantum and all the features recommended by physical therapy and occupational therapy have been approved by my insurance, both Medicare and Mefi-Cal. Everything except for my "dream" feature, the elevation of the seat. This would enable me to be eye level to people , be seen and heard over counters , raise up to reach buttons on doors, elevators, crosswalk poles , high tables, be able to be confident in crowds. It is so frustrating in crowds where no one pays attention and I am always so stressed looking out for these people that I almost cannot concentrate on my own safety. This feature will make crowds so much more accessible and give me more enjoyment at events etc , more independence, just a little more peace of mind !
Also, the greatest thing will be my ability to possibly give and get hugs, making it easier to hug a person around shoulders instead of their knees, butts or legs!

Hugs are so healing and I hate having lost that ability but I believe with this elevator feature, it will make them easier.
I am so long winded because this is extremely difficult for me so I am asking for help on getting this feature. I am asking for a total of $3000 to cover the elevator and any fees due to the go fund me company .
Please donate what you can and I will be so appreciative of finally getting all the features that I want in a wheelchair.
