Wheel Chair Van for Mali

Donation protected
My heart goes out to my grandson, Malachi, who has Duchennes muscular dystrophy, and housebound, as our wheel chair van and our family van are both gone. Mali is a senior in high school, and will be graduating in June, 2017. He is now left with no transportation, while we are trying to raise enough money to get a reliable Wheel chair van.We have been running around in circles trying to find one that is both affordable and reliable. The problem being, to have both in one, you must be able to pay above $15,000. As I have recently retired, I can only kick in $5,000 toward our goal. Mali is a wonderful young man, who loves his family and a lot of friends. He loves to socialize and visit his cousins in DC,where is Aunt is disabled and unable to visit with him. We have driven all around the country, attending Pow Wows(Native American festivals),meeting new people, and enjoying scenery in the mountains. He loves travelling to New York city , and participating in all the cultural festivals. He doesn't allow his challenges to keep him down.Since he has been unable to get around, I am noticing a change in his demeanor. He deserves to be a happy young man, looking forward to be a graduate with a future! He never complains about his illness, and always has an encouraging word for everyone.Help us get Mali a wheel chair van that will be both reliable and affordable. Help us with your donation or share our plight. We would love to meet our goal within the next few weeks so he can enjoy the summer. A Wheel Chair Van for Mali.
