We would like you to consider supporting The Wheatley School Robotics Team: The Wheatley Cybercats. We are a small club, consisting of about 30 kids who are all passionate about STEM. Over the course of the year, we do not only construct a robot from scratch but enter multiple regional robotics tournaments under a national program for high school students named FIRST Robotics.
This extracurricular takes place once a week during the school year and every day during our build season is a 6 week time period within the months of January and February. In this short time period, students will stay at school until 10 pm designing, building, and programming a robot with the aim of not only winning the FIRST Robotics Competition but becoming a better engineer in general.
Every year our small team competes against schools with clubs significantly larger than ours, but with sponsors from large companies such as Motorola, John Deere, or NASA. 100% of your donation will go to offset the high cost of materials necessary to build the robot, which is, unfortunately, vital for a positive outcome in the competition.
We have multiple tiers of sponsorships, however, we greatly appreciate every donation.
