Please help me bring my project to life! "What's Your Story?" has been in the making for years. I finally have an opportunity to make the dream a reality. I received one of the 2017 URJ JewV'Nation Fellowships which will help me produce my video. But it will not be enough!
Here is a synopsis of my project.
Rivka, a Jew of Jamaican descent born and raised in Toronto, seeks to build community among Jews of Colour in her Canadian city while opening dialogue among the mainstream Jewish community about the experience of Jews of Colour. Partly through convening, and partly through other resources, Rivka hopes to share stories that widen the concept of what it means to be Jewish in Canada and throughout the world. Rivka has travelled extensively and has spent several months in Israel in the beautiful Negev. She is also the Synagogue Administrator for City Shul and volunteers at Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living and Limmud Toronto 2017 as the Chair of Logistics.
For your investment in my project, I will provide an accounting of my expenses. It is important for investors to feel safe and comfortable when contributing.
