What our studio means to us
The students of Elite Dance Company have decided to come together to raise money for our studio. Our coach, Miss Tara, is trying to be understanding during this trying time. Because of how understanding she is, she has decided to postpone our tuition bills. However, this is her livelihood and when the studio reopens, bills will have to be paid. We’d like to try to help our studio out as much as we can. Donations of any kind would be greatly appreciated. Below, we have messages from of our teammates explaining what the studio means to them.
“Elite Dance Company is more than just a dance studio for a lot of us dancers, it’s also a second home. It has been a place for me to grow as a dancer, student, and person and I wouldn’t be the same person as I am today without this studio or the studio owner, Tara Demar. Tara has taught me so much in and out of the studio and has always cared for her dancers like one of her own. The studio’s environment is very friendly and welcoming to everyone and I have made such great friends during my 8 years of dancing here. There is no other place I would rather spend so much of my time.” ~B.E
To me dance is my escape. Dance makes me feel good inside, and I know if I ever need to escape from reality, dance is always there. I’ve danced for the past 6 years, competitively and recreationally, dance is by far the hardest sport I’ve ever done. Dance isn’t like any other sport, there’s so much more. In dance there’s life long friendships, hard work, hours of practice, etc. Mrs. Tara has truly inspired me to work hard and be the best that I can be and more.~V.R
This studio is one of my favorite places to be. Ms. Tara and all the dancers have helped me in so many ways. They’ve inspired me to work hard and to always have a good attitude. I could never imagine dancing at another studio because I love it here. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people and experiences I’ve had at Elite and I am so thankful. ~M.D
This studio is the only studio I have ever danced at. The environment and the teachers are so amazing and welcoming!! Being at this studio has given me so much joy, great memories, forever lasting friendships, once in a lifetime experiences, and most of all, it made me realize my passion, and has given me a future. I received a $60,000 college scholarship to the college of my dreams because of this studio. This is by far the best studio around, and I hope more people can enjoy the experiences like the ones it has offered me. The studio owner, and the main teacher is like my second mother. She has given me a place to stay some nights, and a loving and open heart! She is truly one of the best people I know!! All of the people at this studio are!! Tara is the best coach ever she taught me how to be the girl I am today and she makes me better everyday I’m in the studio , the studio is an important place to me , a place where I can go and express my emotions and how I feel about anything, a place to learn and grow dance has always been something I could run to since I was 3. ~M.H
I joined the studio later on in my years of dancing but that didn’t change a thing, it quickly became a second home to me. I made friends that I’ll never forget, memories that I’ll cherish for life, and I also learned so much about hard work and success. Elite Dance Company was a blessing in disguise.~E.S
Being homeschooled, the studio is my safe space, where I can see everyone and feel connected. It’s the one place I can interact and grow with my friends, and I’m thankful for that.~L.H
