I'm Keith Ackermann and I have been keeping a secret I am totally ashamed of. I've had surgery on my knee twice now; this last one was a knee replacement. I've been unable to work and I have lost everything: my car, my home, everything! I have been living in Nashville Rescue Mission, which is a homeless shelter. If not there, I've been on the street. I just had a knee replacement and the rehab center for physical therapy on my knee was the most wonderful place. They helped me tremendously. I'm now living in a place that is safe and everything is taken care of here. My GoFundMe account is to keep what little I have in storage. The only stuff I have left in the world, and I can't afford to pay it, and they're gonna take it away from me and auction it off because they're the only thing I have left of myself. My mom's stuff, I have two pairs of sneakers, three pairs of shorts, five shirts. That's all I have to my name. I'm about to lose everything else that's in storage and asking for help just for this, nothing more. I don't want anything else, just enough to keep my things for myself. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I never ask for help. I'm always the one that is willing to help others, so if you can help, even if you can't, I love everyone that I know: all my church people, my family, my friends. I don't want anything else but to keep my storage unit, that's all.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Keith
