What about Liz on St. Thomas?

For the past 23 years, Liz has proudly called St. Thomas her home. The laid-back lifestyle, the friendly people, the sunshine, pristine beaches, mountain beauty and crystal-clear ocean water. . .it was truly her paradise.

Today, having lived through the fierce winds and rain of Hurricane Irma, Liz is appreciating a starkly different lifestyle. . .one of basic survival. Living through hurricanes in the past, Liz knows the sacrifices, hard work and time it takes to rebuild that island. True to her core, Liz maintains a positive attitude and a fighting spirit - both of which are unbreakable - as she tackles the challenges one day at a time.

In addition, Liz is the owner of a furniture business, Island Empire, whose success relies heavily on the tourism industry.  Given the devastation of the island, it is difficult to predict when she will be "back in business."  

With your support, we can help ease the stress of providing the basic necessities for she and her son, Sylas, as the efforts to rebuild the island continue.
