hi - I am Fortunate Irankunda and I am proud to introduce rugby league to Uganda. After 12 years of tag rugby development the whales rugby league Academy has evolved to develop the game of rugby League in Uganda. we have studied the game via YouTube and recently been given IRL permission to be established as Uganda Rugby League.

i have experience in bringing the youth together to play rugby league and supporting their development. they stand out and come to you all well wishers and lovers of Rugby league to support them get their rugby league activities get to the Level that is satisfying.

we recently held the rugby league launch with a mens and females 9s tournament in Entebbe. This was a huge success but we struggled to give it as much as we could due to lack of funds.

to be able to extend and promote rugby league to youngsters and adults - both male and female, we need to establish our base. All your contributions will buy All kit from playing kit, balls, tackle bags, protector bags, runners and playing boots. Also renting the field to play and train on, to buying food for players who do not have access to this, and facilitating the players transport and welfare during training sessions and tournaments.

we would welcome any clubs to send us their used kit and equipment although costings for postage are very high, we rely on well wishers to come to Uganda and distribute.

we are hoping in 2023 we can extend rugby league further into the communities of Uganda and our aim it to be able to create a team in mens and female to play in a World Cup, being the representative nation of Africa.
