Hello, I am Hakim Taliaferro, the founder of The Taliaferro. The Taliaferro is a luxury fragrance brand based out of New Jersey that creates perfumes that tell stories. All of our perfumes are crafted with the utmost care and intentionality.
The purpose of this campaign is to expand our business operations, further product development and cover advertising costs.
We have been graced to have our products seen in Elle magazine as well as being featured by We Buy Black, a prominent marketplace resource for companies and individuals looking to buy from Black Owned businesses.
Formed in the summer of 2011, The Taliaferro has been seeking to create lasting memories through fragrance that transcend trends and generations. Our fragrances are handcrafted according to the various personality types and real life inspiration.
Our fragrances find their inspiration from real life experiences and moments of significance. For example, to acknowledge Juneteenth being officially labeled a United States holiday we launched a fragrance line titled #Juneteenth, with 'Independence' being first in the lineup.
Our vast profile of clients include celebrities, social influencers, and business experts in addition to a well known exotic car rental company. We have been able to craft custom scents for events, clients and personal brands.
Our aim is to make clients feel like luxury. While most luxury brands focus on external factors such as materialism and sensuality to create a lasting impression, we seek to make impact by building connections and cultivating authenticity.
This is our story and we're sticking to it.
I, Hakim Taliaferro was graced to be one of the white glove pallbearers for the late great Cicely Tyson. This was an experience that impacted me deeply and inspired a poem titled ‘I’ve Done My Best’ and a fragrance to honor her legacy. A portion of proceeds from this special fragrance benefit Cicely L. Tyson Community School of Performing and Fine Arts in East Orange, NJ.
Our goal at The Taliaferro has always been to make clients feel like family. By finding creative ways to make our product, presentation and services more personable, we have been able to deepen our influence in the niche fragrance industry.
The North American luxury niche perfume market is projected to be worth $442.94 million by 2022.
Contributions of any size are welcome, but our goal is to raise the full amount by January 1, 2023.
