North Fork Animal Welfare League

For almost 60 years, the North Fork Animal Welfare League has provided
food, medical treatment, enrichment,  a safe environment to live in,
and more for homeless animals on the North Fork of Long Island.  We
provide comprehensive care for every animal that enters through our
doors until they can be placed into loving homes.

The NFAWL also offers public programs that focus on pet retention
including but not limited to our Pet Food Pantry,  Safe Keep program,
and emergency medical assistance on a case-by-case basis. The generous
support of our community and dedicated volunteers is reflected in the
96% save rate that the North Fork Animal Welfare League has achieved.

Because of the outbreak of COVID-19, the resources that allow us to
provide for animals and families in need are being stretched thin.  As
this outbreak continues to have a drastic affect on our community,
both medically and financially,  we
want to be able to be there for anyone in our community
that needs help caring for their beloved companion animals. Our goal
is $20,000. Any and all funds raised through this appeal will go
directly to help care for the pets of affected families.

While we are eternally grateful to the huge number of residents that
volunteered to foster, we are still financially responsible for the
day to day care and well being of the animals. Please donate any amount
that you are comfortable with  providing. Every amount helps and is
well appreciated during these trying times. Your donation will
allow us to continue to  help feed, care for, and support all families in need
of any assistance with providing for their animals.
