Helping Amy

Donation protected
My beautiful daughter, Amy Holden, is a 33 year old woman who suffered a massive completed stroke on January 22, 2017. Since the onset of the stroke, Amy has been in and out of the hospital near death. Her road to recovery continues to date. Only a couple of months ago, Amy was diagnosed with an extreme case of Crohn's disease. Despite the 30 plus medications she is taking, doctors believe she will need surgery. With her current state of malnutrition, doctors stated Amy would not survive a surgery at this time. Amy is in constant pain. Amy was granted Disability, but did not receive any back “lump sum” benefit. She receives a very low monthly disability benefit that does not begin to come close to covering her medical and living expenses. Doctors advised Amy to drink four Ensure plus a day. This expense alone is very costly. Amy was not expected to live past the first five days of being in the hospital. She was not expected to walk again. Amy is alive and fighting for her life. Although, it is with difficulty, she does walk. It is not determined yet whether she will regain use of her left arm. Every day is a struggle for my daughter-please help her! No amount is too small! She is fighting for her life! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
