Hurricane Maria Recovery

Hello friends and family, as all of you know the island of Puerto Rico was destroyed on September 20th. My father and his wife survived the worse natural disaster to hit Puerto Rico in over 100 years but they have now been left with nothing. It was about 2 years ago when my father and his wife that live on a fixed income, decided to move back to their native Puerto Rico, so they could enjoy their "golden" years in PR and essentially live off of the land.  Never did they imagine that 2 years later their beautiful island would be destroyed. My father told me that Maria was the worse thing he has ever experienced in his life.  The picture above was taken after the longest week of all of our lives. Prior to Maria, we spoke to our Father on Tuesday September 19, and then heard nothing from him until September 26th when I recieved a 30 second phone call stating he was ok and just needed to get off of the island. I hung up and booked a flight at the high price of $1000.00 for two tickets. I was able to talk to my father once more to tell him to get to the airport and then from there we never even knew if he made the flight until that night when we met him at the airport. All he has left is the clothing he was able to pack and bring with him.  They need to restart their lives here in Florida now and deseperately need help.
