Women’s Health Initiative

Donation protected
As a youth, being homeless presented many challenges for me, particularly when it came to personal health and hygiene. In the District and other cities around the world, homeless women are unique in that they require much more resources when it comes to hygiene. In fact, according to statistics, “882 unaccompanied (single) women are experiencing homelessness in the District” (DC Interagency, 2017).

In partnership with Sugar Magazine, This campaign is primarily focused on resource development and education and our goal is to collect $5000 worth of feminine products to distribute to local service agencies that provide assistance to women in the metropolitan area.

All donations (monetary and material) will be donated so that women who need items such as sanitary napkins, soap, clean underwear, and more can have access to the things that we should all have access to as women.
