Westside Bowl Renovation

As some of you know, Nate and I have been working for almost two years to open a music venue in the city of Youngstown. When we first began, all we had was a desire to create a space for up and coming local, regional, and national acts to play to all ages crowds of 300 or more. With the help of our good friend Genna Petrolla at the Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Y.S.U., and the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corporation we have developed a sound business plan, secured funding, and have selected a location.

Once we take ownership, we will need to make some renovations so that the space will accomodate our plans. Those renovations will include removing some of the 24 bowling lanes to create a large performance space on the main floor that will accommodate 300+ spectators, renovating the basement to create a second performance space that will accommodate smaller crowds of 100 or less, opening the bar back up to the bowling alley, and upgrading the HVAC and electrical to accommodate the increased capacity.

We anticipated many of these costs, and made provisions for them in both our business plan and our loan proposals. However, we did not expect that we would need to make substantial upgrades to the HVAC system to accommodate the buildings new uses. Because of this, we are in need of your help!!

We are asking for donations to help defray some of the renovation costs. As a bonus, we will be offering incentives for those who can help with our campaign.
