Westrope Family Fire Fund

Donation protected
On Monday in what officials said was one of the most destructive fire emergencies in California’s history, bare trees dotted the landscape where homes were reduced to ash and rubble. The fires caught some residents off-guard, with some fleeing on foot. These fires have destroyed over 1,500 homes including the home belonging to Scott Westrope and his two children, Abby and JT. (the son and grandchildren of my best friend Terry Westrope.) Scott's girlfriend Andi, Andi's parents and Scott's former wife, Kellly also lost their homes.

For those of you who don't know, Scott Westrope is Battalion Chief at City of Santa Rosa and has been on duty with his men, risking their lives, while fighting these devastating fires. Though he couldn't save his home or the homes of his loved ones, they have and are still working to save others.

Terry Westrope, Scott's mother, flew from Florida this morning to bring the basics of clean underwear and clothes, but much is needed to help them rebuild their lives. Imagine what it must be like to have only the clothes on your back and nothing that is familiar or comforting to turn to. I have spent many holidays with this family and they are so generous with their love, I am hoping to show them appreciation, gratitude and generosity in return.

The cost is difficult to estimate so let's create a fund of $5,000 for them, and hope we can raise more! The funds are needed immediatelly and will be used to help them with food and shelter while they rebuild their home, so please do what you can to help! Thank you!
