<div>Margate Skateboard Club CIC, in partnership with Westgate-on-Sea Town Council, is working to bring a brand new skatepark to the town in time for the summer school holidays, but we need your help to make it happen!

<div><strong>Why does Westgate-on-Sea need a new skatepark?</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>After many years of use, the current park at Lymington Road Recreation Ground is no longer fit for purpose, so we want to build a new permanent CONCRETE park on the same site for local skateboarders, BMX riders and scooter enthusiasts. A skatepark isn’t just a place to ride – it’s a safe, inclusive social space for all ages and abilities where young people can stay active, learn new skills, have coaching and connect with friends. It will bring families together, offer a positive outlet for energy, host future events and competitions, and create a real sense of community.

<div>Westgate-on-Sea Town Council has pledged match funding of up to £8,000 and has already helped to raise additional grants to support this project. Now we’re calling on local residents, businesses and families to help us reach our final goal.
