Help Wes Simmons Excavate Cancer

Hello family, friends and anyone willing to assist: "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" - "EXCAVATION" - "BLUE PRINTS" just a few familiar words my brother & I learned at a young age. Recently, as of end of July, those words took on a whole new meaning for Wesley & the biggest, most important "job site" of his life began = Excavating Stage 4 Colon Cancer,
Shortly after Memorial Day he started not feeling quite right - the man who hasn't had any major medical complaints his entire life - sought Doctor assistance for the pain that was increasing. After 2 weeks under a Doctor’s care with no improvement; further testing was performed and confirmed his first indicator of cancer. Thankfully his good buddy Nurse Tracy took action and started the movement towards results and answers. Wes was scheduled for a liver biopsy and colonoscopy all in the same day (7/31/18). Upon returning the next day for results and meeting his Oncologist, the Doctor notice some facial issues, some slurry speech and slow motor movements and the Nurse wasn't able to draw even a small vial of blood from his body due to dehydration. His body opts to keep it interesting: with metastasis to the liver & surrounding lymph-nodes; vegetation on his heart leading to 4 mini brain strokes. After almost 10 days hospitalized we were able to take him home (8/9) with professional home care medical assistance and medication both orally and IV; unfortunately only to return approximately 1 week later via the Emergency Room. Which began another hospitalized stay on August 17, 1 day after his 41st Birthday with early stages of bowel obstruction and a “belated gift” of an NG Tube was received.
Simon Cancer Center, along with our Parents Home, has been Cancer Headquarters. The team of doctors from Oncology, Neurology, and Infectious all coordinating "blueprints" for his plan of attack. Delay in chemo occurred because of the Heart Vegetation and now this partial obstruction created conversation of surgery or chemotherapy delay (yet again); however, what we consider a "small success" he was able to receive his 1st round of chemotherapy via IV last night (8/20) and now every other week.
Many people have mentioned a Go Fund Me campaign. As my brother states, “ I have always been self sufficient and hard working to support my 2 kids and living my life to the best of my ability. It is not an easy thing for me to ask anyone for help…but, this journey is bringing all kinds of changes, so go head Sis – let’s reach out.”
As he continues to flash his smile and large personality of optimism, it’s already been quite the health adventure and it’s only day 22 – we are seeking funds to help cover medical expenses, home health care, and therapies the doctors want to unfold; along with alternative methods to ensure his nutrition stays on track since he is a self-pay patient and is no longer able to work alongside our Dad & the valuable Team of W.E. Simmons & Sons.
