Wesley Alred Brain Tumor

Hi my name is Vanessa. Wesley is my nephew, he is 18 year old and was healthy until yesterday (April 21, 2022). He works at Floyd Medical Center in Rome Georgia and has a heart of gold always helping people. Before work yesterday he and his girlfriend stopped to grab a sandwich to take to work for lunch. He started sweating and got really nauseated. He told Sarah he needed to sit down, he turned around and passed out. Sarah got him to urgent care where they wouldn't let him leave until my mother (nanny) came to pick him up and take him to the ER. The is a CT scan and saw a shadow so they sent him for an MRI. The MRI confirmed it was a tumor and they told him that he was being transferred to Children's at Erlanger in Chattanooga TN which is about 2 hours away. They needed to do biopsies on the tumor. When he got to Erlanger the informed us that he would have to be put in ICU because he his brain was so swollen. Fast forward to after the neurologist came. The tumor is the size of a lime, biopsies are out of the question because it is to dangerous. They are just going in tomorrow on April 23, 2022 to remove the tumor. There is a chance he could have a stroke as a complication of surgery. We are all terrified. He is afraid! Everything happened so fast with no warning....he was healthy...no symptoms...no change in behavior....no headaches...nothing!

The funds made here will help Wesley pay his car payment and his insurance while he is out of work....he has a long road ahead of him and he is afraid to lose his car. It will also help pay for any thing that may be needed to help him adjust once he does get to come home from the hospital!
