<div>I am helping to get the word out for a community action opportunity that will help conserve 90 beautiful acres. The Interior Alaska Land Trust (IALT) is now UNDER CONTRACT to purchase a parcel known as “Graceland” below the corner of Chena Ridge and Isberg Roads. This protects a birch forest and is a part of a large greenspace in the headwaters of Cripple Creek. This parcel alone will add significantly to the Isberg Rec area and gets us all a lot closer to the possibility of adding new loop trails.

<div>And neighbors! Check out the map (below). Conserving this plot protects it from future development, which protects our back yards, berry- picking spots, illicit snow-shoe trails, mushroom foraging opportunities, dog walks and whatever other good clean fun ya'll like to have in the woods.

<div>The hard work has already been done thanks to the dedicated volunteers at the IALT. Now, all we need to do is dig into our wallets, purses, pockets and/or dig up a few coffee cans.
