Wendy's Battle with Leukemia (CA)

My name is Randy Wallace, a father who became disabled after having suffered a brain bleed. But this story is not about me. It’s about my wife Wendy, the mother of our two daughters and a hair stylist.
A year ago, today (December 10, 2014) in an Intensive Care Unit and on life support, Wendy began her fight against leukemia. Some forms of leukemia are extremely difficult to cure and Wendy’s is one of these.
To be successful, Wendy needs to achieve complete remission and undergo a stem cell transplant.
For the past year she has endured 4 different types of chemo and spent 3 separate stints in the ICU, each one requiring life support. Through it all, she has maintained the kind of positive attitude that would astound anyone faced with the challenge of a life threatening illness.
After the leukemia grew through one of the strongest chemotherapies available, her doctor said there was nothing more they could do for her. Although it was a heartbreaking day, it was not the end of her battle. Wendy has been offered one last chemotherapy and she has found several reputable naturopathic oncologists. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover these sorts of services.
Funds raised will provide Wendy with alternative forms of therapy and help her family cover living expenses. Wendy continues to pray for complete remission so that she can become eligible for a transplant, but prayers will not be enough.
Wendy knows her life has not come to an end, and the extra care could make all the difference. As I call upon you to help us, there are no words to express my gratitude. Thank you, from the deepest part of my heart for your prayers and support. Please don’t let Wendy’s battle end here.
