WENDY & Family Need Your Support

Donation protected
WENDY flew to La Palma in the Canary Islands with her husband Gary on New Year's Eve for a 7 night sunshine getaway. On only her 3rd night Wendy tripped an fell 10ft over an unguarded wall onto concrete.

Gary had to perform CPR and finally managed to resuscitate Wendy on his third attempt.

Wendy was rushed to La Palma hospital and put into an induced coma. She had fractured her head in three places and shattered two lumbar vertebrae.

The bleed in her brain eventually filled one quarter of her head, and she was airlifted to Tenerife university hospital for emergency surgery.

Wendy was taken out of the induced coma 2 weeks after the accident on the 16th January and the early signs were not very promising.

WENDY is a tough lady and with the support of her family and friends around her bed side, she was released from intensive care 7 days later.

Wendy's mental and physical prognosis is still unknown.

Her back operation will take place on the 29th of January and all being good she will travel back to the UK via medical aeroplane with Gary at her side.

Wendy will then be admitted to a Manchester hospital to begin her lengthy rehabilitation process.

At present we do not know what the future will be for Wendy.

The extent of her injuries are at present unknown, whatever the outlook may be Wendy's current home will not be an option for her.

Wendy will have to move into a more suitable home to begin her long road to recovery.

As for work we just don't know when or if Wendy will return.

Gary will be concentrating on Wendy's recovery and will not be able earn his current contract salary.

Wendy and Gary would never ask for charity but as you can all appreciate they have been faced with a very difficult situation.

So anything you can give will be greatly appreciated ❤️

Thank you for your support on behalf of Wendy/ Gary/ friends and family.

Much Appreciated Joanne x
