Wendy Richey is a longtime resident of Hoquiam, WA. She has been married to her Husband Kyle for 19 years. She has a 26 year old son Stephen and a 17 year old daughter Kayla.
Wendy has been a 911 Dispatcher at Grays Harbor 911 Center for the last 19 years, where she promoted to Senior Telecomminucator/Supervisor within the last few years. She has dedicated her career to helping others in public safety and loves doing so .
6 months ago, Wendy was diognosed with stage 4 colon cancer. After the scans to check the rest of her body for any other cancer, the results showed that the Colon cancer had metasticized to her liver which was 70% covered, as well as spots on her lungs.
Wendy has been undergoing very aggressive chemo therapy and continues to battle. With the treatments, doctor visits, and time off of work, comes financial burden.
Wendy continues to work as much as she can, but her first priority is to take care of herself and rest.
