Wendel Danielson Cancer Support Fun

Wendel is the beloved crossing guard at Mountain Elementary in Abbotsford, BC.  For the last several years, his cheery wave and warm smile greet students and their parents as he helps them navigate the busy traffic on Mountain Drive.  Over the years his quiet ways and genuine spirit have won him many friends.  Wendel is a retired dentist who did several missions trips to help others with his skill as a dentist.

 The students at Mountain recently helped him celebrate his 87th birthday with handmade birthday cards.  This gentleman, who has been caring for his wife (of over 50 years) during her recent bout with cancer, has himself been diagnosed with lung cancer and is undergoing an aggressive regiment of radiation.  During this difficult time, he and his wife are in need of support for Meals on Wheels services, lawn upkeep and the extra costs that come with illness.  Wendel supplemented his income with his work twice daily as a crossing guard but is no longer able to work due to the side effects of the radiation.  Any gift that you are able to give is deeply appreciated!
