Hi!
My name is Wren Owens, and I'm a long-time friend of Wanda Reagan Lambert (since High School - Class of '82). She has been a wonderful friend to me, and to MANY over her lifetime, always there for others, thoughtful and loving, passionate about helping in whatever ways she can, sincere and brilliant.
Wanda has been experiencing serious medical challenges that seem to have originated with injuries sustained in a terrible car crash nine years ago. Today, she is in the hospital (again) with Esophageal Dysmotility and Esophageal Erosion, combined with having recently gone through unsuccessful surgery for a hiatal hernia due to a hole in her diaphragm. Wanda's esophagus is only working at 10% and her stomach, only at 20% at this time (January 24, 2015).
These are quite difficult, uncomfortable challenges causing Wanda not only pain and a recurrance of the vomiting of blood, but significant weight loss (26 lb.s since December), and if you know Wanda - she didn't have it to lose.
Wanda has dedicated her life to helping others, whether family, friends, associates or total strangers she has encountered in her lifetime career as a registered nurse. Now, it is she who needs our help.
Wanda's mother, Patsy, also needs help so that she can serve as her daughter's advocate while she is going through all the many procedures, tests and transfers from one hospital to the next, where specialist can treat her. As you can imagine, the financial strain is great and only adding to the overall stressful situation.
I have put this page together with help from others who love and care for Wanda and Patsy with hope that it will make it easier for you, too, to pitch in whatever you can to help. Once the goal amount is reached, all of it (less costs owed to GoFundMe) will go to Wanda Reagan Lambert and/or her mother, Patsy Reagan, for use in paying all necessary and associated bills.
